Two Mexican Midget Wrestlers Killed by Fake Prostitutes

Reality is stranger than fiction:

The world of Mexican midget wrestling is in mourning after two of its most famous stars were apparently poisoned by fake prostitutes.

Brothers in armlocks Alberto and Alejandro Pérez Jiménez were found dead in a hotel room after being drugged and robbed.

The women who spiked the twins’ drinks are thought to be members of an organised crime gang who pose as prostitutes to attract victims.

They normally just knock out their victims but the dose proved too much for Alberto – aka ‘La Parkita’ (Little Death) and Alejandro – aka ‘Espectrito II’.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Alberto and Alejandro. They mourn their loss and will miss them.

Man, don't you HATE it when that happens ??

I think we need a group to focus international attention on this (undoubtedly under-reported) problem.

Let's see: Midget Mexicans ? Too broad.
Midget Mexican Wrestlers' Protective League ? Kind of wordy.
Society for the Suppression of Fake Prostitutes ? I dunno…

C'mon folks ! Help me out here, so we can start collecting contributions !

    I'm still working on this.

How about (the) Society (for the) Protection (of) Optionally-Dimensioned Entertainers: (SPODE) ??

What right-thinking person would not wish to raise money for SPODE ??

La Parkita doesnt mean “little death” In Spanish.

The two men wrestled throughout Mexico and the United States, and like wrestlers from the the US you see on television, used various costumes and personae… just as in the US WFW… all the men (and women) taking on some role of action figure or mythological character.

These two particular men were murdered in order to gain the money they'd just won. The women approached them, saying they would have a sexual liaison with the men, and the women with intent, purposely put a heart-stopping substance into the men's drinks.

The men in wrestling, as one sees in the US (I am not a fan, but am interested in how MANY men in the US are fascinated with wrestling) are revered by many, and when one or more fall, as in the US, there is mourning… whether the wrestler in the case of one in the US took their own lives or overdosed on self-administered drugs.

Wrestling world is another culture altogether. I dont pretend to understand it. I just know there is huge ritual to it. And in death, these two men will be honored for their abilities to fight in the ring, not over the way they were murdered.

    Thanks Joe W.
