The Great Government Swine Flu Conspiracy

by Walter Brasch

More than 230,000 cases of the Swine Flu have been confirmed world wide. About 2,100 persons have died. As much as one-fourth of America’s workforce may be infected by Swine Flu when it peaks in Winter, according to studies conducted by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

CDC scientists isolated and developed the seed strain of swine flu. Working furiously to manufacture the vaccine are five major drug companies, which received about $1.8 billion in federal funding to produce the anti-virus. Leading the testing, analyses, and education campaigns about the swine flu, in addition to the CDC, are the U.S. Public Health Service, the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the Federal Drug Administration, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, in addition to the Department of Health and Human Services, which developed the National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza protection.

Testing of the vaccines on human subjects is being done at eight major U.S. universities and hospitals, which received federal funding. The federal government is also providing about $260 million in grants to state health departments to give the vaccine at no charge to people who do not have insurance or whose insurance does not cover vaccinations.

In several European countries, which are producing about 70 percent of all vaccines for a worldwide population, most research and production is being funded and carried out by government agencies.

But if you listen to the multi-millionaire conservative bloviators of talk radio and Fox News, or the shrill screeching of a minority of tea-baggers and conservatives at dozens of town hall meetings, you hear one theme. These right-wing loonies say they don’t want the government involved in health care. No government. Get government out of their lives. Government is evil! The well-orchestrated campaign against health care reform focuses upon shouting over any attempt by members of Congress to present the truth about health care bills. Apparently, they believe that the health care crisis is a sports game; whoever shouts the loudest to drown out everyone else gets the most points.

If these harpies of the right are all-so-determined to stop universal health care, if they don’t want the government in health care, then I have a couple of suggestions. First, because the baggers scream “socialist” at anything they don’t approve, they should refuse to accept Social Security or Medicare when eligible. If they’re veterans, they should refuse any VA medical programs, and reject any disability income.

Next, when the swine flu vaccines are ready for distribution in Fall, the opponents of health care reform should refuse to be vaccinated. That’s right. They need to stand by their principles, and not get the vaccines. After all, by their bastardized strain of logic, anything with a government stamp on health care must be suspect. They may even believe the massive public education campaign by the federal government is just a scare tactic, that the vaccines—primarily researched, tested, and funded by the federal government—may even be part of a secret conspiracy by the federal government to control Americans’ minds and make everyone Communists.

Nevertheless, whatever their beliefs, when the Swine Flu vaccine is ready, the opponents of the “intrusion” of the federal government into health care just need to say “NO”! but don’t say “no” for the rest of us.

Nice humorous post!! The U.S. may be showing itself to be at least 2 if not more separate societies with irreconcilable differences – that may only be solved by a civil divorce. The only problem of permitting people choice in not taking any governmental programs is that they paid for them anyway in taxes. Of course you could completely separate the population on that basis as well. Then if their house were burning down and they signed a “no tax & no government” option they would have to negotiate a price with the fire department before it would put out their house fire – their free enterprise at work. Those who paid taxes and used governmental programs would be fewer than the entire population today but so would our society's overall obligations. It may be easier to simply confine your conservative wing-nuts to the former confederacy – wait, most of them are there already. A generous “government” subsidy to help the others relocate there from the rest of the country may be worth the money. Then they can run their affairs to their own liking and the rest of us can attempt some sane government – not without disputes but simply without the extreme idiocy of this party that cannot comes to terms with the 2008 elections. Keep up the good work. – From a fellow blogger in Phoenix, – MP

I'm sorry but this writer has not studied Baxter International and their connection to bio warfare, he has not studied the genetic questions about the 'naturalness' of this flu, he has not studied the military preparation for 'crowd control', he did not watch the number go from 40 to 400 to 4000 to 40,000 confirmed cases every 8 days until counting stopped – in other words, we have all been exposed already, he has not studied the health care bill and its fine print that tie into more control and was pushed to be voted on before it could be examined, he simply has not connected the dots about how dangerous the policies are around this 'pandemic' (definition of pandemic changed by WHO especially for this flu). Almost no one died in Mexico, few died here, few died anywhere, including
NZ where it is WINTER.. Anyone with any sense will study Tamiflu (oxford just came out with warnig against it) and untested experimental vaccines and will avoid, at risk of arrest, being forced to take vaccines for a flu that is not a killer. How many lies have to be exposed before everyone starts demanding truth? The FED, Iraq, Afghanistan, the flu. How many more lies?

Again comparing apples and oranges. I think most people, both conservative and liberal, would agree the government has a proper role in public health and sanitation.

Actually I think that those who believe that public education shouldn't exist are just as likely to believe that there is no role for the government in health and sanitation.

I will be stockpiling Viralox for my family this season. It is a all natural spray made from colostrum.Clinically proven to be 3X more effective then a flu vaccine. Kept us all well last season hope it works as well this year. There is no way I would let anyone in my family take this untested vaccine I am sure the side effects will be told in years to come.

    Be Well, Mova

    What an ill-informed post.

I am no right-winger, but wow… your post is just as wacky.

I am sure many right wingers would gladly forego Social Security and Medicare, as you suggest, IF their money hadn't already been take from their paychecks and put into it. LOL @you.

Every vaccine causes a stroke. Proven fact! MRI's taken of children and adults before and after vaccinations show the signs of stroke. Children especially will show the facial expression of a stroke six weeks after vaccination with droopy mouths and eyes. Google brainguardmd.com and see the proof.

I'm pretty sure this does not only apply to conservatives. In my opinion, this whole swine flu “pandemic” has grown way out of proportions and it really isn't that deadly. The only people who have been killed from swine flu were very young children and very old people, both in already bad health. They are fear mongering and in that fear mongering, some scary situations might occur. There is already proof that the government plans on enforcing vaccination shots to every citizen. How do we know whats really going on? Maybe the government created this swine flu virus. Maybe the government is creating a vaccine that actually contains something even more deadly, as a method of mass population control.

The government has lied to us many times before (cough 9/11? cough). If you believe their lies, you are just adding to America's destruction. I will not be getting a shot, nor can anyone tell me i have to get a shot. I will also not allow anyone in my family to get a shot.

You will not be joking about this when people start dying left and right for no reason, and I guarantee it will happen very soon.
