By their own rhetoric, it has always been the goal of the Republican Party to bankrupt government, thereby destroying the power of the elected. With the power of the elected damaged and controlled, corporations become more powerful. The United States is becoming less and less a Representative Democracy and becoming a Corporate Republic. Yep, Bush, and the Republicans are getting a free ride for this mess.
