See here, from the BBC. It’s all part of a pervasive hardening of North Korean policies on a broad range of subjects, the article says. Desperation will do that.

Nothing about the persecution of Christians through-out the Muslim world. Of course not, it wouldn't be politically correct to talk about how Islam is an intolerant ideology of hate, bigotry, & violence. Much better to ignore it & talk about N. Korea when the real story is the ethnic cleansing of Christians from the Muslim world. And not just Christians - Hindus in Bangladesh, Bahais in Iran get the same treatment. Jews, of course, were already ethnically cleansed from all Arab countries years ago.

Christians and adherents of other religions are being persecuted throughout the world. This piece dealt with a specific story. I thought that it was interesting, particularly in light of other things going on in North Korea relative to the dire illness of the country's leader.
