Has a kind of pack journalism and pack analysis set in regarding new and old media coverage of events in Iran? Has this been a case of the two segments of the media in effect becoming one, big, fat echo chamber — where voices may not be as knowing as they seem? Read Kevin Sullivan HERE.
Well, since the mainstream media generally misses the point of every story, there's no reason to expect them to get the Iran story right either. If you want to be mis-informed, propagandized, & brainwashed, just follow the mainstream media. Who believes journalists anymore? Even leaving aside the obvious left-wing bias of most journalists, the lack of professionalism is astounding. Dumbing-down is a very real phenomenon, events neatly ''fit'' into a stereotyped pattern. We are being buried in an avalanche of BS.
I would add that the real story about Iran is that they are moving forward with their nuclear program at a rapid rate & no one is doing anything about it. This is not a partisan issue but a national security issue & both Republicans & Democrats have dropped the ball. Obama's policy of ''dialogue'' is just appeasement & stupidity. From H. Clinton's remarks last week about a ''defense umbrella'' for Gulf states, you can see that this administration accepts the idea of a nuclear-armed Iran, a blunder of incredible proportions.
