Well, now we know, government is controlled by those whom can afford to pay for special attention through the lobby, even outside the lobby. Those who pay get to subvert the voting public's political wishes. Those who pay can buy massive media advertisements that beguile or confuse the public in order to subvert unified opinion. Those who can pay can oppress those who cannot. Even in the time of Lincoln, those who could pay a fee, could avoid the draft and did not have to go to war to kill and die.

I guess this just illustrates how much Republicans have moved away from being the party of Lincoln.
