He was fair as well as being able to provide the right gravity to every situation.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;It&#039;s interesting to watch parts of his interview with JFK about Vietnam when it was a new conflict.  It was clear Cronkite saw trouble ahead, and he asked tough questions, but he was also fair and gave his subject a real shot to speak his mind.
