One of my medical conditions, Crohn's Disease, is thought to be caused at least in part by our increased attention to hygiene. You tend to see it more in countries that are more hygienic (like the U.S. and Europe) than those that don't.<br><br>There's nothing wrong a handshake followed by turning to some other activity. Just don't start sticking your hands in your mouth afterward. And do wash your hands, but don't be obsessive about it.
