Someone compared the repetitive, monotonous, boring comments made by Republican Senators during Sotomayor's confirmation hearings and/or my commenting on them (someone has to do it) to watching paint dry.

I fully agree.

My “point” is to point out the most frequent “issues” or subjects that the Republican Senators pursued today, and will probably pursue throughout the hearings.

As I said, I'll let the psychoanalysts and the pundits read the tea leaves.

What is your point Dorian? That she is above any critisism? That the Republicans cannot be the loyal opposition?

The Democrats made any of today's comments seem a pale imitation during the Alito, Scalia, Thomas and Roberts hearings.

She will be confirmed, no doubt, and deserves to be. But she is not deserving of a free ride. She made comments and rulings that are fair to ask her to answer. She will, in the usual totally benign way of SCOTUS Justice hearings.

But any opposition she does encounter is, this time, the cows coming home for Democratic actions in the past.
