More News from Mother Nature

RainClouds1.JPGBeing socked in by repeating lines of storm fronts, I find myself with more time for those pesky internets than I might have liked. Today’s exhibit in photography is an interesting effect found when rain clouds totally swamp a set of mountain peaks, with ghostly tendrils hanging down from the main cloud body like moss on a tree. There’s an entire line of mountain peaks beyond there which can not be seen for the density of the clouds. (As usual, be forewarned… the full size image is rather large.)

An update on the fishing score for all of you sports fans: Jazz – zero.

You know, I really wouldn’t mind fishing in the rain, though it’s rarely productive. But it’s the lightning that puts me off. It’s simply too risky to stand out under thunderclouds that are only a couple hundred feet above you and wave a graphite rod around over your head. I also find it rather unfair of Mother Nature to keep dumping water all over an area when your opponent lives in the stuff. Poor form.

thanks Jazz for keeping us updated on the “best”. . .so nice to read a travel section on TMV. . .such a nice break from the lower world. . .Jazz do you have any bait on those hooks?. . .i hear they like worms. . . .

I use fairly standard bass lures. Maybe I should try the worms? The really embarrassing part, which I'll probably post tomorrow, is that my great niece, three years old, has caught three fish. I have a picture of one of them.
