Thank you, GD. It's impossible for me to believe that John Bolton does not know where Iran's nuclear facilities are and what Iran would be likely to do if Israel bombed them. I'm sure he also knows what tends to happen when radiation from a nuclear blast, and wind patterns, interact. I am convinced he's not stupid — just insane.

And of course knowing this only makes this scarier.

What happens if Iran retaliates by bombing dimoina and breaks open the nuclear reactor? Israel should consider that and the effects it would have on Israel and the surrounding areas

BTW, in terms of OUR vulnerability, regardless of which facilities were targeted, the Iranian response would likely be to close the Strait of Hormuz, possibly by sinking a tanker in it. No more Persian Gulf oil. Of course, Iran could still ship oil from the Arabian sea, but not the Saudis (could still ship via Red Sea), Qatar, UAE, Kuwait or Iraq. None of these countries would be happy with us to say the least. Not only could their economies be wrecked overnight, along with ours, but depending on the wind, we could send radiation poisoning to any of these countries, including our own troops in Afghanistan and Iraq.

I'm sure I can find it via Google, but if you happen to have a link to that info, I'd appreciate having it. Specific information like that is important to have.

Bolton is a complete idiot, as is anyone who still thinks this is a good idea. Some of Iran's key nuclear facilities are directly under universities in Tehran. Anyone who thinks Israel or the US should bomb a university full of young Iranians in the capital city of a major nation is completely, absolutely and totally nuts.

That first sentence is a bit odd.

I don't know that Bolton is encouraging Israel so much as saying where he thinks things are going. I hope Israel sits on it's hands for now, an attack would just galvanize Iran.

Please tell John Bolton that Israel DOES NOT decide when the United States goes to war. If Israel wants to start a war against Iran then let them do what they wish without us.
