I can't believe this woman,has the nerve,to say “she is now hurt or upset”.That her privacy was violated.What will she tell her sons,on how to treat there women.Be successful,while using others money,to go an off an betray their trust and their own children.This Maria,must not have “hurt” during her own divorce! I know Govenor Sanford doesn't want to step down.Since he was found out,he has to have a job to pay back thousands of S.Carolina taxpayer money he took for his affair.And to pay for his alimony to his wife,and child support for his children.Lucky,for him.He lost his case for “stimulas money”,that stressed him into going to get “butt”.Cause he will probably be one of them signing up to get goverment assistance,after he's done paying back-all he took!

To think that this affair can't hurt,his wife! Is about the most selfish thing I've heard.If the Governor Sanford chooses to go without a condom.Then his wife has the extra worry about contracting an STD.Besides being lied to,and not asked in her wedding vows.”Do you take this man,along with any other woman he decides to share his bed with?” Mrs.Mark Sanford probably wouldn't have gotten married.He left to have his drinks and sex in another country.Suppose,one of “HIS” children,had an accident.”HIS WIFE”,would have to waste precious time,looking for their father,and her husband who suppose be there to comfort her and help make serious decisions.No,it couldn't have her her,that she has to let them know on “Fathers' Day,a piece of “butt” was more important than them.” No ,that couldn't hurt!

The problem with the King David reference is that so few people, including the Moderate Voice, seem to understand it. I agree that Sanford is no King David, but his situation is sort of like a bargain basement version of the story of David and Bathsheba. David spied Bathsheba while she was bathing and committed adultery with her, who was also married. Bathsheba became pregnant and David first tried to trick her husband, who had been away at war, into thinking that he was the father and when that didn't work David had him killed. He married Bathsheba and incurred the wrath of God, which included the death of his infant son, a sordid tale of incest, rape and insanity among his children, a war with his own son and the eventual death of that son at the hands of his own army. It's really kind of a great story and there's no reason to believe it's fiction. Sanford is also an adulterer and his incurring, if not the wrath of God, the humiliation of being exposed as a fool.

Governor Sanford is human and we are not in a position to judge. If God forgives, and the First Lady forgives, what gives us the right not to?

Sanford uses his religion to judge others moral character harshly, to the extent of calling for impeachment of Clinton and resignation of others for adultery, while he is able to redeem himself thru forgiveness for the same transgression using the same religion.

What a scam! Now he is “holier than thou” once again, thru his request for forgiveness and then compares himself to King David in the bible.

What kind of religion makes 1 man self righteous (redeemable) and another reprehensible (Stanfords reference of Clinton on his adultery) for the same transgression? Is this some kind of selective religeous forgiveness? Like only GOPers need apply? An impeachable offense for Clinton, according to Stanford, but for Stanford, like the biblical King David, a forgivable transgression that requires the continuation of his power.

I don't see any issue here aside from the fact that Mark Sanford is
typical lying politician.
Can't Mark Sanford love two women? Why is his wife so bothered?
She hasn't been harmed in any way.
