I was trying to go to bed (Germany) when my girl told me…it took me a couple of Hours still I got my sleep.

Michael Jackson was an awesome person.
We all miss him so much!.
He is and will always be missed and loved.
But one thing we all have to understand is that we will all die.
God brought us all on earth for a reason.
Now we can be prepaired of death.
Michael Jackson's pain is finished, he is in a much better place now. He won't be hurt or sick anymore.
All that is left for him is judgement day whether he awaits for heaven or hell. All we can do now is pray for him.

I've never understood the worship of celebrity. I don't know where I was when Princess Di died. I know I actively avoided the media when she got married because I couldn't stand the fawning coverage. I do remember where I was when I found out my father, my grandfather, and my brother died.

It's obvious that Jackson's death hurt the author. I don't understand it. But I understand it's real.

I would be dishonest if I did not also say that I think it's a little sad, too.

I am so glad that I was at a new job that pretty much requires me to be out of the news loop for twelve hours during the weekday, so I can happily say that I do not know where I was when Mike Jackson died.

Furthermore, why should it matter for such a minor public figure? It's not like "Where were you when the shuttle exploded?" or "Where were you when Reagan was shot?" or some other major news event. This is just some washed-up old pop singer.

As for me, I'm just glad there is one less pedophile in this world. Good riddance.

I cannot see how Jackson is seen as iconic. He was a good entertainer and did some good work. But, he really has not done anything for a long time. His private demons became the story about him and not his music for a very long time.
Yes, it is sad he passed away but, this obsessive focus and outpouring like he was a head of state is embarrassing.
and annoying.
I think he has been pumped way up, hyped way up with this death and people are trying to make him to be so much more then he actually was.
the facts are that he was a child star who grew as an entertainer to make an outstanding album 25 years ago. Afterwards, he became more national enquirer then Billboard.
It is sad and tragic but, he was not an icon and not anything close to the way people and the media are acting like today.
