Saline, silicone, and designer vaginas
I’m on vacation this week in Prince Edward Island (home of Anne of Green Gables), in Canada’s Maritimes, but I just had to take time out to post on a truly disturbing development in the world of body modification (and the existential crisis of which it is a key symptom).
A while back, I wrote about the recent surge in breast augmentation surgeries. Now, according to my guest blogger at The Reaction, Vivek Krishnamurthy, women are turning to — you might want to sit down for this — vagina modification surgery. Which is to say, they’re buying designer vaginas, and, in the process, hoping to look more like, well, porn stars.
(Click on the links for my and Vivek’s commentary on what it all means.)
A Sign of the Apocalypse, to be sure.
