McConnell: GOP Could Filibuster Sotomayor Supreme Court Nomination »
Starting around the 2:30 mark in this video, Iranian protestors guide a dazed policeman to safety and care for him. Remarkable. H/t Andrew Sullivan.
It's great to see that there really are nice, reasonable people on all sides of the fence.
Having always thought that that is how it should be (is?) maybe I should expect this result to be the norm… But it isn't and therefore this story is just that much more important (valuable?).
Amazing. Obviously in the midst of this protesting there will be people hurt on both sides, but I think the police have been professional- at least from what I've seen. They seem to be orderly and well-trained. So far I don't think they've just squashed the protestors just for the sake of exerting power. “Measured response” is the term that comes to my mind.
This latest episode in the history of these people will be interesting to watch play out.
