There are voices of reason found on the left and the right. Common sense is not a political ideology.

It is a tragedy that things like this still happen in this country. How any one could believe that the Holocaust did not occur is beyond comprehension. I am sorry someone had to die because of one man's ignorance and hatred.

Beginning with his coverage of Hurricane Katrina, Shep Smith has been a constant disappointment.

jwest, I can see where you'd find balance and reason to be a disappointment...par for the course.

Too bad Fox doesn't have more reporters like this.

Anna,
Shep is an ill-informed drama queen.
As he proved during Katrina, he rarely knows what he’s talking about but that doesn’t stop him from emoting over make believe news.

I didn't know much about Shep Smith until that outburst a few weeks ago where he banged on his desk and shouted that the U.S. has no business torturing people (paraphrase). I've liked him since then.
And now that jwest has given his disrecommendation, that nails it for me. Shep Smith is a refreshingly rare voice of common sense and reason in the media.

I can see where Shepard Smith no longer fits the so-called "fair and balanced," we decide, then report Fox façade.
If he continues to stick to his priniples, he'll be soon be out the extreme right Fox door.
Welcome to the real world, Shepard.

Maybe Shep Smith doesn't belong on Fox, I think Shep has a conscience.
