I don't know, Kathy. Goldfarb has set the bar pretty high, so it would take an inordinate amount of “mind-numbing stupidity” to “break his own record.” Perhaps you're forgetting an article he posted in The Weekly Standard two years ago in which he actually tried to argue that the Framers of the Constitution wanted the President of the United States to have “near dictatorial powers” during times of war.

Then again, I suppose one can argue that that's not a case of “mind-numbing stupidity” but–rather–Goldfarb simply reitering the neoconservatives' perverse admiration for a Unitary Executive that has broad powers not explicitly stated in the United States Constitution when it comes to foreign policy–a concept that has long been dismissed by classical liberals, Old Right conservatives, and other sane people who believe that having a Head of State with “near dictatorial powers” would be a bad thing.
