I am not a Republican (T.G.), but if I were one I would be seriously offended by the likes of Cheney and Limbaugh telling me who belongs in the Republican party or not.

Just as I would greatly pissed off if Gore or Olberman would try to tell me for whom there "is or isn't room" in the Democratic Party.

Just an observation

Yippee!! All Rush, all the time. I'm glad to know that the priorities are all in order. Media Matters actually does an hour by hour analysis of every single broadcast. You aren't competing with them are you? I commented on yesterday's quote of the day, which was again about Rush Limbaugh:

How about this for a quote of the day: "The new administration has copied most of the Bush program, has expanded some of it, and has narrowed only a bit. Almost all of the Obama changes have been at the level of packaging, argumentation, symbol, and rhetoric."

http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=1e733...

No replies just yet, although Leonidas did cite this same story on another thread. But it's ok...let's keep talking about Rush, Cheney, Powell, or any other Republican since they have so much power. The Dems? Ah, who cares about them; they are the ones who are irrelevant, right?

I wonder if Alma will let him come out and play next time. Now that Obama is already there, her reasons seem less valid.

Like General Powell, many moderate Republicans remain in the Party clinging to the belief that their version of Republicanism will emerge again. While hope is a wonderful thing, I do not hear moderate Republicans putting forth a plan to take back the Party or projecting a time frame in which it might occur. Without questioning General Powell's sincerity, I wonder whether this is a realistic projection of the future or just wishful thinking.

I think once the GOP finds it's footing as a counter to the Democratic party and being a voice for small government and actual real fiscal ideas other than being shills for corporatocracy -rather than being the crybaby-run by punditocracy party America can embrace it's gravitas again.
