UPDATED Rooting for Charlie Crist in 2010

I am. Here’s why.

And while his race for the GOP nom may not be an easy one — I wouldn’t bet against him given the endorsements he has already lined up.

    Pete,

Don’t you think the Dems will wait until Crist is the candidate, then pile on with homosexual rumors? Liberals are non-judgmental of everyone except republicans (and libertarians, and black conservatives, and beauty contest winners, and..... oh, you get the picture)
  • Pete Abel
Jwest -- They might. But I'm not sure "dirty tricks" -- by Dems or Republicans -- will be able to stop Crist. He seems to be that unusual blend of the "best of both worlds/parties" and while approval ratings can fall quickly, his are in the stratosphere.
  • Pete Abel
Well ... maybe not the "stratosphere," but still in the two-thirds range (per a Quinnipiac Poll, according to this CNN report: http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/05/12/crist.se...) -- and that's pretty damn good for such a diverse state.

    Pete,

He’s about 20 points light of Jeb Bush territory, but probably the strongest in the field to date. It will be interesting if Jeb rethinks his position on a Senate run.
  • Ryan
Great. A year and a half of "Purge the RINO!".
