Wait a minute Mr. George.

So what your saying is that during the Campaign when everyone was flashing the charts that said we all think the country is going in the wrong direction that was actually a great big lie???

That in reality the country thinks we are going in the wrong direction under any president and that using this indicator will now and henceforth be deemed inappropriate now that the chosen one is in office?

So what your saying is that this indicator can only be used if the right is in office but if the left is in office it cannot be used?

Gotcha. Did you hear that Fred? Yup. Makes sense to me.

Sorry to have missed the point.

For comparison purposes, here are all kinds of charts showing unhappy results from the Presidency of George W. Bush, including the right track/wrong track figures.

To provide even more context, here's a comparison chart showing that since 1972, Americans almost never think the country is going in the right direction. (Quote:"Stunningly, the average of the annual average over the last 36 years is 36% right direction and 52% wrong track.")

The chart I'm referring to is down below the chart showing the steadily declining right track/wrong track numbers for Bush.

Thanks.

If you flip the chart on its side it looks like a tornado.

Certainly seems to have no correlation to the jobless figures or unemployment rate.

The chart is measuring people's attitudes about the state of the country, not Obama's approval ratings, though.

Barak (I have a judgment) Obama is leading us on the path to the promised land.

What was that he promised again? What? Huh? Change?

Change? Did anyone actually believe him?

I think what he meant Fred was he was going to change his mind when he was elected. We just didn't catch that part.
