The GOP had as much to do with this as the stimulus and the budget…..remember you guys keep lecturing there is no bipartisanship anywhere in evidence……….you can't have two realities going at the same time.

Despite Gandelman's patently weak defense that this is not a continuation of neoconservatism….because the term “nation-building” was pointedly omitted (gosh, I wonder why that was!!)……..it fits the very definition pretty closely to what the prior administration was doing.

To assuage the lefty egos, I guess we can refrain from calling this a continuation of neoconservatism and relabel it the birth of neoliberalism.

Nevermind what happens to our country as a result. If the GOP has demonstrated nothing else it has shown that it will engage in any behavior or activity guaranteed to preserve its ranks and influence even over the nation itself. Time to recognize the tail-eating dragon and shut out its influence before its too late.

When my kids were fighting constantly when little, it often helped to just walk out of the room. I found that when they had no audience, there was no more incentive to carry on.

Afghanistan is the arm pit of the world. It should be allowed to continue on its masterful ways of providing drugs to Americans, beating women and killing anyone who dared believe their was no God.

This is Obama's Afghanistan. While the surge might have worked in a perfectly flat dessert nation such as Iraq their is no way in hell that 100k more troops are going to matter in the mountains of Afghanistan where the people simply stage in Pakistan, hit and run and then run back to safety.

Obama. Your an Idiot for not pulling out YESTERDAY. But thats okay. China will lend us more money to continue our road to bankruptcy.

Is blindness really this pervasive of a blight in the political spheres? And who is Al Qaida exactly? Why was their leader's brother involved with Dubya at such an intimate level in business and finance..friends of the Bush family?

Are we chasing a fabricated public whip? Might not Al Qaida be defeated by acknowledging instead that they might have a legitimate beef with what BigOil conspirators in suits AND turbins did to their culture? Shouldn't we all ban together and chase the real world terrorists, the corporate monopolizers who think nothing of blood-for-profit even at the expense of world peace and our nation's fiscal solvency?

These aren't words spouted from some left-wing nut job, these are conclusions people have come to after much though, reflection and connecting the dots.

Terrorists don't just spring out of nowhere. People get really really angry for good solid reasons that have been left to fester, with salt thrown in the wounds for extra hurt. Maybe, just maybe, possibly we should look for the origins of these festering inflicted-wounds in Al Qaida and see if we had a hand in any of it.

Nah, that would be far cheaper and more reasonable than spending money we don't have to spend in the black hole that is Afghanistan and “the pursuit to stamp out Al Qaida”. What that pursuit should really be called is 'the pursuit to pour gasoline on fire” to end the “threat” to our nation. Speaking of gasoline….
