Well the “Celebrity-In-Chief” name is grossing unfair. He needs to be out communicating in multiple venues. Times are different. People need to see the President and HEAR him. He needs to be “Explainer-In-Chief” and “Talker-In-Chief”.
The President of the United States, no matter who he or she is, is seen virtually every day on the news. This is especially true in this culture of 24 hours new cycles. Every important and most unimportant aspects of the President's life and utterings are gone over with a fine tooth comb by news analysts, enemies and friends. I don't think it is possible for a President not to be in front of the public all the time.
This President has chosen to use that issue to continue to communicate with all of us. At least so far. He has only been President for a few months – granted a crisis filled few months – and if he follows the usual path, his “public” appearances (news conferences, speeches, special messages) will decrease in numbers – so it is hard to call him “overexposed”.
His popularity will go down as the ship hits the sand in our economy and as his people screw up. But so far that has not been the case (unless you are a Republican and noticed that Satan has taken the office over.)
