		<description>He&#039;s definitely the father of Modernism, which is exactly what I can&#039;t stand about him.&lt;br&gt;He&#039;s such an average-to-mediocre painter -- far beneath many of his impressionist contemporaries -- but there&#039;s a pseudo-intellectual aura that goes through Cezanne to Picasso and the modernists. They&#039;re all boring and shallow, of limited talent, but they succeed by flattering timid intellects.&lt;br&gt;Thank goodness that bleak artistic period is long extinct. &lt;br&gt;Long live the art of today.</description>
