Is Rabbi Z, rebbe Zalman Schacter? Or another rebbe Z? I like the differentiation your quote from him/them. Differentiation instead of just knee-jerk response. In the dream i was residing with the witnessing function and was watching both parts of my dreamers there is a dreamer and another one that analyzes as i dream, so i call one of them the girl dreamer and the other the boy dreamer for i think the left and right brains both dreams?. . .

But more to the point. . .dream was RL sitting on a throne as King. . .and he was in proclamation mode. . .was able to remember one line he spoke. . .”The men of sense and wisdom will proclaim when I have gone my praises and my fame.”

The Boy dreamer was taking notes for further research. . .He listed The Lion King, Herod the Great, and the story of Saul killing the Amalekites, and stories of Kings in the Old Testament. . .

When i awoke checked out the Boy dreamer links on the web. .

Typed in “The men of sense and wisdom will proclaim when I have gone my praises and my fame.” The first link was from Shahnameh, The Great Book, which is called in Iran the Book of Kings. . .and that line matches one in that Epic poem

then check out Herod the Great and the first line was, “A madman who murdered his own family and a great many rabbis, Herod was also the greatest builder in Jewish history.”

Checked out the link for Saul and Amalekites, but do not readily see the link. Perhaps the reason is the story is the most difficult story in the entire Bible for me to understand. And just yesterday morning i heard Rabbi Z on Religion on Line, (a radio program with a Rabbi, a Catholic, and a Protestant Minister) speak of the difference in how Jewish people such as himself interpret difficult things in the Hebrew Bible compared to what many in Christianity do. . .He said the difficult passages are rendered simply as ” Not God”. . and the Scriptures are man's story of seeking God, rather than everything being God's undeniable words set in stone. . . The Ten Commandments was set in stone not the entire Hebrew text. . . There was one reference to Saul and Amalekites in (Deu 25:17-19 NIV) Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt. {18} When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and cut off all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.

So maybe my dreamers was trying to venture a guess to your question, and think that R.L. has an archetype of The Dark King. . .Then their was the other Herod that tried to insure that the Christ light did come forth. . .Uhmm. . .now that one kinda fits for Obama ( i want him to fail) and that other sacred emerging force. . .

Sorry Dr. E. for posting so many times on this one, but some times i get stuck on a post and have to keep processing it until a picture forms from all the pieces. . .

I particularly hoped to show that Rev Williamson's main 'evidence' re 'no Jews gassed,' as he put it… was a discredited man (Leuchter, not sure I'm spelling that right at the moment) who claimed to be a 'gas expert' and engineer who was discredited in a Canadian court of law.

Differentiation is a challenge ever in writing 'short' for blog articles. Each situation its own inquiry. Sometimes it seems more clear to strike hard and clear, depending on what each writer's insights and how/why. Other times, there are fifteen 'on the other hands' that have to at least be weighed and considered.

Many of us who write here at TMV do not have 'final' opinions, but rather, expressive and strong ones based on living deep into the layers of the world in one way or another, and yet those opinions/ insights, to my mind, are often evolving ones. In any number of directions.

I agree that there is heart behind this freaky man creature named Rush. I have a very hard time tolerating him but if i listen quietly and listen with the ears that connect to my deeper nature – what i hear is a man whose feeling function is somewhat intact and i believe that if a person can feel- there is hope. I would love for you to pull out from your magic bag of seeds a story to support the idea of how someone's heart can survive while buried under all that toxic waste – i know you must have many!

Oh Archangel, you are an incredible enigma of interests, colors, not boring…………but certainly not the same light I projected onto you when I read your books, and stood in the shadows so many times to hear your speaking engagements. I suppose it's alright, it is good to run out of heroes and it is good to see with better clarity the voices that inhabit the people we admire…… …..that choir being more complex than what I had first imagined. I have to believe too, you would betray the Conservative fold in heartbeat if it was clear to you that the larger issue needed to be honored.

Yes I want to be included on the list of people to see what you originally wrote.

AS for killing one of our own…………………….I think there are no doubt many examples in history, literature, mythology, and the literature on sacrifice. I think too there most be many ways to symbolically to get rid of someone, to kill them in these modern times too. Like the time and energy you have invested in exposing the Pope's holocaust denying priest. Is that not a killing of one's own? kinda/sorta, something like………

I have heard other radio personalities that know him off air say the same as you Dr. E. and speak of him as personable, and goodhearted. . . One said doing political radio was one of the hardest things he ever attempted and switched to another modality because the hyping up and inflation of agitation day after day after day was really hard. . . Maybe all of us would benefit from having a few hours a day set aside to evoke and allow the shadow self to be out front and outrageous. . .

As to why Rush is attacking his own. . .perhaps Rush is as tired of all of it as many other Americans. . .and perhaps Rush like all of us have a saboteur or trickster within tumbling off cliffs only to emerge with something that aligns with the deeper truth within. . .

Who knows?. . .not i. . . .

Now, I admit that I don't know Mr. Limbaugh personally as you do. I just know him from his twenty years or so of public pronouncements on his radio shows.

But even if I met this harmless, fuzzy, little fur ball personally, I don't think it would change the impact that his incessant insults have had on my, and I am sure on millions of other Americans', sensibilities and sensitivities.

I am not talking about his vicious political attacks on “Liberals” and Democrats; nor am I talking about his fierce beliefs in his Conservative principles at the exclusion of all other political beliefs and principles; I am not talking about his slash-and-burn political tactics; I am not talking about his savage attacks on all those who would dare to disagree with him. All of this could perhaps be justified by, as you imply, his strong beliefs in Conservative core values.

What, in my insignificant little opinion, detracts from, even nullifies or destroys, all his lofty pronouncements are his incessant, demeaning, disgusting, denigrating, mean-spirited, sleazy, offensive, intolerant, prejudicial—have I used enough adjectives yet?—attacks on gays, minorities, women, the poor, the old, the sick, the homeless, those on welfare, those in need, those truly suffering (Yes, I am aware of his otherwise commendable charitable and philantropic efforts).

Can you imagine how much more of a credible, powerful voice Mr. Limbaugh could be for his party, for his bedrock, core Conservative principles if he just wasn't so offensive.

But, of course, he probably wouldn't rake in so much money—and “fame”—then.

I think a good number of people who agree with conservative bedrock principles, also agree with him. I also think people who disagree with 'the other side', in this case the not necessarily written, but acting principles of the current admin, also side with Mr. Limbaugh, not because they agree with him, but because they so disagree with 'the other'

Though there is at least one other ground with real estate politicially to go to, the Libertarians, they seem quite silent right now, after their candidate Bob Barr ran for the Presidency and lost. Yet they do not appear to be out shooting down their own kind, although they certainly have their preferences within the party big tent. I covered the Libertarian convention in Denver, and was impressed with how they disagreed, factionalized, but then for the most part, mainly coalesced together again, regardless.

I am not sure I can explain more about Mr. Limbaugh, when most of us can hardly explain everything about our own selves…lol. But, I believe he thinks he is the canary in the coal mine and that if he doesnt act and react voluminously, the whole party will detonate and be gone.

In the worst light, as some have speculated/ hammered for days now, he is just wanting publicity and is standing only for himself. Could be. But likely, not. It may be a huge underestimation of what he is, albeit, seemingly with little finesse, trying to do by railing as he has been… to try to reduce what he is saying to him simply wanting more audience share. He already has 'more audience share.' There's likely other motives/ hopes/ water he's carrying.
