As the war in Afghanistan moves to the front burner and the White House hopefully turns up the heat on Pakistan, one of the back stories will be whether NATO nations are willing to play a larger role in forces and materiel. Let's be honest and acknowledge that one of the big problems in the campaign for Afghanistan in the lack of a real combat commitment on the part o NATO forces.
