Republicans lost 36 seats in the House of Representatives in 1964, giving Democrats the biggest majority in the House any party has enjoyed since the end of World War II. Republicans dropped 2 seats in the Senate, yielding a Democratic majority of 68-32,

Which is why I continue to point out that the all caring compassionate for the poor Democrats could have ended Poverty and done all the things that the socialists want done in america today and they Didn't. In fact Johnson started a war.

Seems sorta like Bush huh? You'd think these nitwit politicians would learn. They both started wars, both became hugely unpopular and both failed to use their majorities to fix anything. They simply squandered away the time with frivolous policy and blamed the other guy.

Gotta love the fact that Johnson had a 68-32 majority and still they found a way to blame the opposition for their failing to fix things.
