For the record straight UAW did not bring our economy to this, years of financial irregulations and greedy bankers and people spend money they don't have bring our economy to this.

The real point is why did Obama throw this into his speech?

Simple really. The democrats are beholden to Labor Unions and they are NOT going to let the Big 3 crash throwing millions of their voters into the streets. They will bail out the Big 3. They will tell the unions they still dont have to take any cuts and they will most likely refund to the pension any amounts lost via the pensions investment into banks that fold or are nationalized and sold off.

It was a huge………….”dont worry UAW” we got your back. Trying to justify why they will do this and being deceptive in the process is an aside note. Its not what he said but what was implied thats important here.

I don't know if Mr. Wolf was being serious in his first sentence, but I am TIRED of the lie that never dies: Al Gore NEVER claimed he invented the Internet. And again, I don't know if Wolf was being snarky but Obama did not invent “hope and change,” or Internet campaigning either. If anyone did, it was Howard Dean. Other than that, Mr. Wolf is absolutely correct that President Obama should admit his historical errors on solar technology and who invented the car.

Point taken; historical and technical accuracy is of course important. That said, there is no other country which has had such a long, quantitative and comprehensive association with the automobile than the the USA. This is common knowledge even in France and Germany. So please pardon our president for his understandable but technically incorrect statement. Meanwhile we all know which country has had the deepest, historical, and spiritual connection with Detroit Iron. Cheers!!!
