Hitting The Nail On The Head About Conservative Talk Radio

Conservative talk radio used to be fun and entertaining for those who didn’t even agree with it in part or at all. But something has changed. Why? This post here is “spot on” and I say “ditto.”

UPDATE: Here’s another MUST READ. (Make SURE you read the comment under the linked post by a fan of these shows. What more can anyone say?)

Yeah. I listen to Laura Ingram in the morning on the drive to work……..Well occassionally I listen to her.

It is 1 minute of Laura……..5 minutes of commericals back to Laura for a 20 second teaser then 3 minutes of commercials then back to Laura for 2 minutes then 5 minutes of Commercials.

Same with Rush Limbaugh. This is how I know its about the money and not about the message. They have found that as their contracts go up they have to do more and more advertising to pay for those huge contracts and thus its become about the money and the message is then compressed.

They have always wanted to get a message out and in times past had more time to ease it out. Today they have to blurt it out so they can get in the next 20 commercials to pay for the last minute of incredibly large contract.

I haven't listened to laura Ingraham in years. She's another one who really had some intelligent and funny things to say then kind of went off the deep end.

I think one of the first steps the GOP needs to take toward finding their way out of the wilderness is going to be a of just how much damage “conservative” talk radio has done to the party over the past several years. Until they recognize this, they are likely to continue making the same mistakes that brought them to their current state.

Paranoia and rage seem to be the top agenda. A sense of humor and basic humility seem to be missing.
