Newly minted RNC Chair Michael Steele has set the tone, calling for the application of the party’s traditional message to “urban — suburban hip-hop settings.” But what exactly does that mean? And how do you take a sometimes moldy construct of American conservatism and translate it to the urban, hip-hop culture? A daunting task to be sure, but I take a swing at it today in my latest column at Pajamas Media.
And allow me to anticipate some of the responses. Yes, my friends… let the hate festival begin!
Jazz I started to read your column, but stopped after the first page because I thought I was reading a Fellini script. A better sound track for the Republicans would be the MuzikMafia and Cowboy Troy. The MuzikMafia would work for the base, but a Kanye West Korn show is absurd. Gretchen Wilson did appear with McCain, but Korn ROFL…
WELL… Uh… Like… See… Hmmm… Nevermind!
Michael Steele needs to reboot his frontal lobes. Most “hip-hop heads” don't give a damn about liberals or conservatives. They are just living their life. 'Nuff said.
