David - I just returned from two weeks in Israel (along with the month of November I spent there) and my view is that Israel is headed for the apartheid solution. I attended rallies for all the major parties(even Yisrael Beiteinu). The Likud ones were the most interesting. I saw presentations of maps showing 7 Palestinian "reservations called economic zones). These "reservations" would be totally surrounded by Israeli territory and all ingress and egress of people and goods would be controlled by Israel. The Jordan Valley would be cleansed of the 13000 Palestinians who live there having been moved to the Jericho reservation. The entire premise is to give the Palestinians a better life economically with the possibility of some political life in the far distant future. Meanwhile, the Palestinians would have no political outlet including votes, tax collections, building authority etc. This is what the Likud and Bibi are likely to do.

I went out to Ma'ale Adumim where I have relatives and the building in the E-1 corridor is absolutely amazing. It will extend Ma'ale Adumim all the way to Jerusalem cutting off all access by Palestinians to either the city or the northern west bank. I also went to Ariel where I also have relatives and the creeping expansion of Ariel is meeting up with the settlements to the east completely cutting off Ramallah from the rest of the West Bank.

David - I have 35 relatives in West Bank settlements and the "reservation" solution has always been the plan. That has been the strategic design of the placement of settlements all along - all with decades of complicit approval of Labor, Likud and Kadima governments. The prevailing attitude toward reservations is "if it was good enough for Americans, its good enough for Israel. Since the rest of the world hates us already, it can't hate us more if we implement "compassionate apartheid".

I agree with you - this is leading Israel to a disaster and my dream of a permanent Jewish homeland will go up in smoke within the next 25 years. Either the arab community's anger will finally erupt and Israel becomes a glass parking lot, or the world's ecomomic and social boycott will lead to a mass reverse immigration of Jews leaving for a better life leaving Israel to remaining religious Jews and arabs.

The first would be a violent war crime, and impossible for any human being of good conscience to support. I also imagine it would likely provoke war with all of Israel’s neighbors.

But it would bring us closer to Armageddon, End Times and the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We’re running out of time, and we’re looking at two years of doing nothing but treading water. That’s not good enough. The path Israel is going down will kill the state, and yet a significant portion of my community is acting as enablers. It’s maddening. It’s infuriating. It needs to stop.

You are not running out of time, it's over. Where is the land needed to create a functional Palestinian state?
Israel as a Jewish state will go the way of the Crusader Kingdoms.
