Acquiescing to a Bush-inspired government by the opposition is not democracy. It is cowardly and a cop out. Canada lacks a strong and inspirational leader in the opposition. Setting up a probationary period for the Harper government is not an act of strength or democracy. It is allowing the status quo to continue to advertise their bull in the media and confuse the Liberals and NDP. There is no debate here. Just token throwing up of the arms and the Conservative government smirking their way to more power at the expense (and the result) of the ignorance of the Canadian public and many writers who should know better.
