Joe Biden On The Economic “Mess” Obama Is Inheriting

One of our favorite journalists — print or newspapers — is CBS’s Bob Schieffer. Vice President Joe Biden gave Schieffer (the epitome of the centrist journalist who tries to play it straight down the middle) his first interview as Vice President. This is already a shift: Vice President Dick Cheney seemed to most enjoy being interviewed by Fox News and by Sean Hannity (who is not the epitome of the centrist journalist who tries to play it straight down the middle).

The news coming out of this interview: Biden says the economy is worse than he or anyone thought. He talks about the economic “mess” Obama is inheriting:

UPDATE: But Biden and Obama may have some extra work cut out for them. The Republican opposition to the program is growing. NBC News has this video report:

Oh let's let partisan rancor derail the saving of our nation…yep. Smart plan..lol..

The banks took the biggest hit and they are already essentially a total loss so let's start with them and the little guy who's mortgage needs saving. Yet let the little guy postpone payments on his mortgage for a year..reimburse banks as best you can…take them over..keep them limping along on life-support. Meanwhile joe-public gets to keep more of his money and consume more goods, jump-starting the economy.

It seems like a wild idea but with only one sector of the economy taking the shaft, it's better than spreading it around.

Go after BigOil too. I think some of their record-profits might have roots in ill-gotten gains… Time for them to pay the Piper.
