No, it failed to work out because BigOil's lobbiests have been erecting endless roadblocks in its way to keep us dependant on oil, and therefore profit.

That's over now. The future is right here. Be on the boat or drown treading water in the swirling sea of stupidity and bad investments.

Silhouette,

Alternative energy has been just around the corner since the 1970's. Yet, it has failed to work out even with tax breaks and supportive government regulations.

We need the republican party...as much as I hate to admit it. A two-party system is good for balance and without balance we have...well...the Bushco regime. Any sheister hellbent on grabbing power can just don the jacket of whatever party is in control and sieze power from within it. Some of the most radical narrow-minded and intolerant people can be found on the fringe of either the democratic or the republican party.

But after being the host party for a group of treasonous rebels such that Bushco is, the GOP is in some real trouble.

I have one very simple solution, albeit an unsavory and hard one to adhere to, denounce BigOil. Right there. Just stand up in numbers against those who told you what to do for the last 40 years. BigOil is going to be found to be at the heart of the Bush/Cheney trials anyway..the evidence will find them culpable. So be ahead of the game and stand against them now. Promote various alternative energy enterprises and invest in them and turn this into the new cash-cow, the new binding glue for the republicans to line up behind...because it's going to happen anyway...

Too bad, so sad. Pretty much every one of these advice pieces for the Republicans show that the person giving the advice still don't get it. Calling the opposition's leadership "The Trifecta of Doom" when the voters are much more worried about real problems just exposes that they don't even understand all their problems.

It is hard to take seriously any Republican who refuses to face demographics. Republicans can talk about social values and limited government but that is not going to overcome the huge demographic advantages that the Democrats have. How can the Republicans recruit top quality candidates when the percentage of the population that comes form middle class and upper middle class whites is shrinking. If Michael Steele and Sarah Palin are the future of the party, they might as well go out of business now instead of hanging around in a no win situation.
