Actually such regulations–perhaps not called “flaunting sexuality”–as to sexual harrassment, adultery, fraternization, and other forms of sexual misconduct are already on the books.

The same rules can and should apply to gays in the military. No new rules needed, service men and women have always conducted themselves accordingly…except for the few bad apples. And those bad apples can be either straight or gay.

A very simple solution to the “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” policy is not to abolish it, but to extend it to heteros as well. Anyone caught flaunting sexuality of any orientation on the job in the military should be subject to punitive actions. That solves a lot of problems across the board. One that I can think of off the top of my head is sexual harassment in the military.

No one may discuss their sexuality or flaunt it. There, problem solved. Onto more important issues…
