The little hypothetical at the end is a bit weak. Oh my, someone didn't put party ID at the end of a story how incredible. People notice things that aggravate them, but ignore things that don't. I've seen plenty of stories where the Rs or Ds were left out. I'm not prepared to make a big plot out of it unless somebody provides more than “have you ever noticed” type data.

Actually Mr. Orwell I did not say that.

I am sure members of both parties are equally capable of dumb things.

However for some reason when a Democrat does something dumb like this the media manages to forgot to report party ID.

Members of one party get the blame for everything even though members of other the other party are silly!
