Obama is staying silent – at this point, shamefully so, because he is going lock-step with past policy regarding Hamas. Engagement is not part of the plan.

Eventually, he'll shift his tune vis-a-vis Iran, and go back to “containment” and isolation with them. He's already said it may take a while to close Guantanamo (and will likely send the prisoners to Baghram – in a similar situation, different country).

Obama is looking less and less presidential and more and more typically partisan. At some point, his free ride is going to end and he will be exposed for being beholden to special interests – just like GW, Clinton, and every other president in the last 30 years.
