What is it about "one president at a time" that people don't get? This trap was deliberately set by Israel, the timing is singular proof of that. Anything Obama says now would tie his hands forever.

French, English, American we all have to understand that this issue is hundreds, if not thousands, of years old. Gaza is a horror story, brought on by Hamas' constant bombardment of Israel. As usual, Israel's response is dramatic, trying to protect its citizens and eliminate what it views - incorrectly, in my mind - as an existential threat. Neither will happen.

Until he holds the reins of power, Obama would be a fool to do or say anything. And, can any one believe, at this point, that anything Obama or any of his administration can say will have a material impact on the actions of either Hamas or Israel?

9 days. That's all we have to wait. Rant all you want, it will change nothing.
