I find it absurd to blame Obama for either Blagojevich of Richardson. To the best of my knowledge, there has been no indication at all that any of the Obama and his people in any way participated in Blagojevich's escapades. Although, I have no doubt that journalists and commentators such as yourself will work hard to make such connections. As for Richardson, would you rather he waited until after his confirmation hearings had started? Obama and Emmanuel are far too careful to have let this nomination go ahead if they had known of this investigation.

This attempt to link Obama to these scandals, with no underlying evidence, is precisely what has lead the American people to rank journalists down there with members of congress. The incessant scandal mongering and McCarthy-like guilt by association does nothing to enhance yours or any of the people cited in your blog.

I am not an Obama worshiper, but there seems to be a persistent rush to judgment every time one of these things comes up. If any of you can produce clear and convincing evidence of Obama of his staff's misbehavior, I will be the first to applaud you. So far all that has been produced is as noted above.

Oh, and by the way, find me one national politician, at any level, who has not had some contact with one or another corrupt business people or politicians. The jackasses braying on the far right will always find something, Joe McCarthy is their progenitor and idol. The rest of the middle voices are not compelled to reproduce that awful noise. Find truth and tell it.

Richard York
