However, I *am* offended that a NEWS channel would choose to put a comedian (one that I consider has very little talent, but that's not the point) on the air, and I am disappointed that a straightforward reporter like Anderson would go along with it.<br><br>But not really surprising - CNN has been softening their news for several years now. With biased pundits like Lou Dobbs and nineteenth century croakers like Larry King, and the indescribably bad Hughley blurring the line between comedy and news, it has become impossible to take the channel as a serious source of journalism anymore. I just wish my basic cable had BBC, so I could get some real news coverage once in a while on the boob tube. I am not offended by the remark at all. I didn't hear the remark and if I had it wouldn't have particularly bothered me. I don't think it cheapens Griffin.... She's not a saint and people like her for her comments.
