Nice. <br><br>Sadly, all our pine and spruce trees are dying, due to a double whammy from climate change. It takes a sustained cold snap of -30 F. to kill the pine bark beetles and spruce budworm. We haven't had one in 8 years. And, the trees' natural defense, exuding sap to kill the borers, is weakened by the worst drought in over 400 years (Vail's one awesome snow month does not a healthy forest make). Vail got 4 feet of snow in December. Nice.

Yesterday the official high was 67. It was amazingly humid and felt like a day in May or June. Right now it it 32 degrees. This change took place over a span of 2 hours. It went from 57 down to 33 between 2:52 and 5:15 this morning. We're supposed to get about an inch of snow this afternoon, which is what we had on the ground Christmas morning after the snow fell Christmas Eve morning. On Monday before Christmas it was below zero and yesterday(Friday) it was 64 degrees. The only problem I have is trying to explain to the people I work with is that THIS IS the results of Global Warming.
