Also, if you’re curious: Despite my English degree and reverence for great literature, I stopped reading fiction several years ago. It seems there’s just too much of the real world to consider and too little time to consider it. So I relegate my consumption of fiction to TV and the movies, and focus my precious-little reading time on reality. Each to his or her own.
I've read non-fiction almost exclusively since my youth. Congratulations, Pete. Reality does beat fiction!
I find that reading both keeps me more balanced. Good Fiction gives me a sense of discovery and feeds my creativity, while non-fiction informs me and makes me feel like I understand how the real world works.
