They shared his enthusiasm in demolishing a government in Iraq and humiliating its leader. <br><br>The media reveled in portraying Bush as a knight in the shining armour curing the world of its ills. And to think that the very same "great" leader has been turned into a caricature by the very same majority who gave him two terms in office.<br><br>But all this is more a reflection on the American media and the majority of people than poor Bush. You don't expect one leader to solve world's complex problems. <br><br>Why was Bush not denied the second stint in the White House? Is it because the hysterical media and the public had lost the power of reasoning?<br><br>It is not just President Bush tasting a shoe. Apparently the poor soul has no clue as to the cultural significance of--in Arab countries-- showing the bottom of your feet, showing the soles of your shoes, waving shoes at someone, hammering something (like Sadam Hussein's statue) or someone with your shoes, or--as just happened--hurling not one, but two shoes at somone....while calling him a dog!!! I have just watched Bush's reaction to the “shoe incident.
