Looks to me as though karma has finally come calling on O.J. For me this entire, protracted drama has never been about symbolism or black and white; it's always been about a talented and privileged man who believed he was above the law and could get away with murder... which he managed to do for a long time. I know there will be appeals, but I think O.J. isn't going to be out walking around in the world for a long time. I hope this verdict can finally give the relatives of his victims a little peace.

I'm a reformed jock. And I know the arrogant, "I'm just going to do what I wanna do" attitude. And there are a thousand ways O.J. Simpson could have handled this situation. But he went the stupid, cocky, jock route and now will pay. But I know this isn't real popular but count me as someone who still have doubts about O.J.'s guilt in the double murder trial. 14 years later and things just don't gel with me.

But that doesn't matter. Most likely, O.J. will die in prison. He will not get out on his first appeal (can you imagine the lobbying the parole board will get?).

The second video is no longer available....

I've always thought Simpson was an arrogant blow hard, not a crime, but such an attitude does let such people think they can get away with murder.... (no pun intended). For Simpson to say that he didn't think he was doing anything illegal and that he thought he was "just confronting friends" is ridiculous. As I recall he practically broke into a hotel room brandishing weapons..... Who in their right mind would think that's OK? Particularly if you were "confronting" friends? I guess Simpson doesn't understand what a "threat" is.... And Simpson's actions clearly went beyond being a threat.... This was "first degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon."

I don't really have an opinion on whether the sentence is too harsh, but I trust the judge gave him a fair sentence. I will say that I do agree with the judge that Simpson should go immediately to prison....
