Rudi,

The Republicans get a majority of the Cuban votes because the cubans are really just Europeans and the Republicans took a hardline on Castro. However, the Cubans in the Republican Party are more liberal than any other group in the Republican Party and having Mel Martinez and Carlos Guiterrez as spokesmen have made the Republican look like fools. Mexican and Puerto Ricans hate Cubans.

Also, blacks are the most liberal group in the United States. Just because they go to church does not mean they are social conservatives. Blacks may dislike gays but my guess is that they perceive gay rights as a sissy white boy thing. Blacks love large government and wants all parts of the government except law enfrocement to expand. Blacks are much more likely to be government employees and blacks will support higher taxes, more government, and restrictions on freedom more than any other group. blacks are as far away from conservatives as you can get in the U.S.

The GOP (Grifting Oil PIrates) is on a course to implode.

It cannot reconcile the crucial schism that it at once worships capitalism and a christian God. The christian God's First Commandment is to worship no other thing before Him... including and perhaps especially money (capitalism). And yet the very people who make up the majority of the GOP's ranks are christians. So, in essence, the members of the GOP are being asked to shelve their religion in favor of worshipping money...and all the evil that that kicks the door open too.

(See the Iraq war for oil and a million other GOP sins)

Long story short.

SD - Your rant doesn't hold any water - once again. How did the Republicans own the Cuban-American vote for all these years? The black evangelicals are very conservative on social issues, why can't the Republicans get their votes like they used to do with South Florida Cubans? The Republicans still are an old white male party, that is the problem not rising minorities.

It does not matter, was the demographics of the U.S. change, less than 50% of the voters will be receptive to any conservative message. Then the next question is whether the U.S. needs two liberal parties. And at least the answer form states such as Mass. Illinoins, and Californai is no.

I still say, they should just outsource their party and their "message" and ideas to Heritage, who at least clearly knows what it wants.

They could even do what cities are thinking of doing, selling naming rights for much-needed funds. It's the "Heritage Republican Party."

http://www.heritage.org/
