Bill in the Senate … I'm glad I saw this the day before Thanksgiving, hopefully I'll regain my appetite in time for a turkey feast.

Hillary should not be SecState, bad pick for Obama. But if that's the way it's gonna be, then get new blood for the Senate.

I saw a headline earlier about a Clinton as Senator… I didn't have time then to click the link and read it….. Obviously they were not talking about Hillary, I dismissed it being Bill and after deciding that Chelsea was too young, I thought the article was probably mulling Chelsea sometime in the future… Now that I have a few minutes, I can see that the buzz about town is on Bill….

I don't think he would be happy going from YS President to multimillionaire philanthropist to junior senator… He's used to being in a position where he answers to no one. As a junior senator I am sure other senators would have a problem with him trying to obtain choice positions. Bill has had his day in the sun.

I do not know how serious Bill is about this and why, but I can see how he might want to be back in the spotlight. He loves being the center of attention in front of cameras. Precisely why he would step on a lot of toes if he were the junior senator.

Bad idea.

Sheldon Silver, along with his counterpart Joe Bruno, have so much political baggage and so many skeletons in their closets that they wouldn't survive a vetting process anyplace outside of the dysfunctional and corrupt halls of Albany and “Washington on the Hudson.” Spitzer is dead meat in the political world. Cuomo still has some juice left.

No to Bill Clinton, or to two actual New Yorkers, Eliot Spitzer and Andrew Cuomo. You realize Cuomo might be given the seat. [scowl]

Does Sheldon Silver want the seat? (I _told_ you I lived in New York for two years! “Dysfunctional” and “Albany” are inseperable.)
