Maybe he thinks thats the way to a ratings bonanza-- but he was frequently out of line in his coverage of Clinton's campaign and female viewers haven't forgotten. Also, I'm sure they didn't campaign for him because they though Malia and Sasha deserved a cute puppy!<br><br>Matthews thought that Obama would end politics as usual- but if he did he would have ended up like Jimmy Carter- Matthews ex- boss- isolated from the power players in his own party. Carter didn't fail because of opposition from the congressional GOP- but because of opposition from his own party- led by Ted Kennedy, who wanted the 1980 <br>presidential nomination.<br><br>Obama is showing us he's a realist- who wants powerful people in his administration who can get things done. If he leaves Hillary in the Senate, she's still a potential rival.
