Though having said that I do leave open the possibility of Mark's observation about “the growing attitudes of many about the disposable and seeming insignificance of sexual intimacy.” I think there are numerous reasons why many people may have diminished respect for sexual intimacy and love. But computer games are not the cause. The cause is people who don't have a healthy attitude towards love and sexual intimacy and who are unable to draw the line between computer games and reality. To the extent these people use computer games as a substitution, then yes, the computer games do add to the underlying problems.

But still, these people are nuts. Now about those murder charges….

I do think, as JSpencer puts it, that the couple involved is “silly.” But at a far lower level of silliness, they echo the growing attitudes of many about the disposable and seeming insignificance of sexual intimacy.
