Thanks D.E. As I said it was an interesting bit of history I just think it was to much of a stretch as a transition into the Bush bash. I do understand the conflict with the current administration but when you are not on that bandwagon the acrobatics taken slam Bush just gets tired.

I guess he can expect more of the backside kissing posts in the next few months. It is hard to believe that Democrats really believe in oversight when they elect someone who is part of the Chicago Machine and when the Democratic party lead Congress has not really been able to pass a budget for the last two years. When Congress has spent more time having hearings on steroid use in Baseball than on immigration reform or wall street bailouts, it is hard to believe that Congress is even capable of oversight.

No anger just tired of bad writing. There is nothing to debate because it's the same tired rehash started with a weak premise. When called on it the fall back is that we “did not like reading the truth”. Wow inspired writing. He asked if the post was lame so I told him. If he hadn't I would of left it alone. If he wanted to do a round up of Bush and start a real debate that would of been great. He didn't do that. He punctured an urban legend, informed us that Bush wouldn't allow anything similar to happen, and then tried to make a real awkward segway into a slam at Bush. It was awkward and would of been much better as two separate posts. Not everything is about partisanship.

It appears that Dorian (and TMV in general) has been invaded by the 'sore loser' faction of the radical right.

Had Potfry or EEllis actually commented on any of the points Dorian made (W's lack of Open-mindedness; Objectivism; and, Oversight) they could have presented a conversation / debate / disagreement but both seem unable.

The truth (shown to all over these last eight years) is that George W. Bush failed or was lacking in all three areas... And all the '18 percenters' have left is bad manners and anger.

When this idea dawned on you, this clever little "O" thing you've stumbled upon, wasn't there a quiet little voice in your head that said, "Wow, that's pretty lame, man. Don't go there."
