Stockster — you are at liberty to be fully serious. Who says that e-mail deletions (or fires in Cheney's office involve paper goods of some kind) were all accidental? No doubt Obama as well as Clinton have learned much from Bush (and notably from Cheney).

And it would be amusing (though offensive) to learn that the GOP had developed means of intercepting the Dems' electronic communications. (”Wi-Fi snooping”)

I don't see a problem with any conflict concerning Obama's presidential records. Bush has set a great precedent about safekeeping such records and Obama can follow suit.

I'm not serious.

But I will say (in all seriousness) that it's refreshing to see us pondering the proper role of such and such in an Obama administration, after years of abuse by the Bushies.

Instead of turning the page on the Bush administration, can we just start a whole new book?

What, less techno-gimmickry in the news? That's a good thing. The “Atari Democrats” of the 1980s and later “Nintendo Democrats” were bad enough. [sigh] At least Shuttle will be tapering off soon and there won't be a bunch of silly kids giggling about a Blackberry or using Google on Shuttle or aboard the Space Station, if we're lucky. (It's just a tool set, and another medium, people. [sigh])

I suspect none of the modern-day silly kids realize that Obama's gimmicky use of You Tube for public statements may be form of active control and manipulation (through “controlled releases” and controlled access) of the press as well as of public imagery.
