A soothsayer is, of course, “a person who predicts the future by magical, intuitive, or more rational means.”
While he won’t tell us which of those “means” he employed, TMV’s founder and editor-in-chief, Mr. Joe Gandelman, can now add “prognosticator par excellence” to his many list of talents and titles. This morning, he was officially recognized as one of three “top finishers in NationalJournal.com’s prediction poll of top political bloggers for the 2008 election.” Per the NJ.com article:
Gandelman, of The Moderate Voice, had the high score overall outside of the poll’s left-right divide.
From all of us here at TMV: Congrats, Joe. We have yet another reason, among many, to respect you and take pride in our places among your ever-widening circle of friends and fans.
Goodness! Perhaps we should begin to call Joe “Gandalf!”
He had a little help…lol…
HOlly, that's really funny, might stick too.Hi Silhouette, nice to see you again. Pete, thanks for the pix you put with this. Perfect. When Joe let us know he'd won, his email said “I'm so SHOCKED”… for those who dont know Joe, but would like to, he is one smart, intense, humble guy with a great sense of the inane. This awarding of title of 'best of' couldnt happen to a harder-working or better heart/ mind.

True, his devotion to this website should win an award by itself. That goes for the whole team actually..
Congrats everyone!
Much deserved!
